We’ve been here about six weeks now. Our first dabble at entertaining was a week or so ago. We had our friends Doug and Theresa over for a meal at our home. Just the four of us. Pretty easy peasy to host another couple for dinner.
But last night we waded in a little further and had some of Tygh’s family over to celebrate his Uncle Don being in town. What fun to spend a little time with Don and the family for a few hours!
We struggled with crowds at our last home, even though we had twice as much counter space as we do here. And folks tend to gather around the counter where I like to arrange all the food.
Things worked out well and I think everyone had a great time but I can already see that we are going to have to be creative for buffet-style serving.
In the picture above, Chris and Andy are checking out the spinach dip and queso. Most of the available counter space is taken up for appetizers, plates and utensils. But we managed. I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
