I’ve had another small victory in getting projects done. We now have a greenhouse and I can’t wait to start planting. It’s not an enormous space, but it should be perfect for our needs.
The manufacturer suggested that it would take about 5 hours to build, but it took me more time than that. I have had enough projects go south because of rushing through that I tend to be over-cautious when reading instructions. Also, I made a raised gravel foundation that should help with drainage. This took considerable time, but if I had to do it again, it would go a lot faster.
As for growing things, we have wondered whether we might be able to grow a lemon tree in here. It should be possible to over-winter something like that. Mostly, I am excited about starting all of our seeds in here – maybe even grow some herbs, microgreens, spinach and lettuce. Every year this has been such fun for me.
