One of the party games we have at our house now is one where one of us moans and describes something on their body that hurts. Then, both of us try to think of how that injury might have happened.
Crouching, digging, raking, reaching, pounding and pulling all use their own little muscle groups and that leads to sore arms, legs, backs, etc. Sometimes, a job wasn’t so physically demanding that you remember injuring yourself, but you feel it the next day and try to guess at what caused it.

Cuts and scrapes are usually pretty easy to identify because they are nearly all the fault of Cecil Brunner roses, but if all the knuckles on your hand hurt, it might take a minute to remember that you were hammering in fence posts yesterday.

Working on your house definitely hurts, but it’s a good kind of hurt. =)
