I am getting to be an expert at repairing drywall. There were more than a dozen holes that I had to cover and smooth over. Initially, I struggled a little and I am considering redoing a couple of my earlier work.
Practice does make perfect though and I feel like I have a certain amount of swagger now when I approach a new repair.

When a baseboard heater is removed, the wall behind is different from the painted wall and there is a significant line left behind.

There were 5 removed baseboard heaters, a dozen junction boxes, several old cable outlets, intercom units, telephone service ports and thermostat controls. Each left a hole in the wall or a line in the drywall that needed joint compound and elbow grease to make smooth.
In the end, the walls all look cleaner with fewer wall plates and no useless switches and covers.

With the new millwork and with Shelly’s expert painting things really are coming together.
