Tygh built us a beautiful entrance to our vegetable garden, an arbor. It’s the perfect finishing touch to this space.
We planted a Clematis ‘Jackmanii Superba’ at the base of it. We had this same variety of clematis in our Tigard home many years ago. It grew at the base of our deck and climbed all the way up to the top of the deck. Gorgeous purple flowers all summer long. We loved that plant.
There are so many wonderful varieties of clematis to choose from. But for this spot, I wanted something from our past to bridge this next phase of our lives. I also remember that this particular clematis is easy to care for. Pruning is easy. It’s a reliable, vigorous vine and I’m confident it will fill the space.
I’m looking forward to seeing it bloom and take off in this space.
