As excitement goes, finding a new bird in our yard is up there a ways. But it’s even better when it’s a bird that we didn’t see at our previous house either.
This Wilson’s Snipe showed up on New Year’s Eve and was probably about 3 miles from where it wanted to be. They are common at the Tualatin Wildlife Refuge, but they are definitely not backyard birds.
Kind of a fun one.
